Tough conditions and wind meant only 6 fisho’s weighed in, with Scott Russell coming first with 200.6 points, Dean Wetherill coming second with 60.6 points, and Owen Hughes coming third with 178.7 points. Top junior on the day was Toby Russell with 178.7 points. The days Lucky Angler prize went to Helena Toulson.

The good weather finally prevailed for our comp last weekend 9/6/24, but fish were hard to find. Being a long weekend only had 8 fisho’s fished. The weather was good for fishing and 7 anglers fished. Top of the pile was Adam Overton with 247.1 points with John Timp coming second with 110.4 points. Dave Brown cam a close third on 101.2 points. Top Junior on the day was Aydon on 57.8 points Lucky Angler was Dean Wetherill

Gosford RSL took on the Grange Hotel in the first of the Biannual competition’s last weekend and came out comfortable winners 1810.05 points to 1276 points. Last weekend’s competition was marred by strong winds but there were still plenty of fish weighed in. The winner was John Timp with an impressive 253 points. The Gosford RSL Fishing Club boatshed is coming along nicely.

The RSL have started the build of the new boatshed which is very much appreciated by the fishing section.

Great roll up today for our 1st competition of the year. 14 anglers fished the competition with Adam Overton taking out first place on 197 points just a scale in front of Dave Brown on 195 points and Antony O’Dwyer a close 3rd.
